Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (BTSR) was founded in 1991 with 32 eager students.  There are now 618 graduates of BTSR sprinkled around the globe doing Kingdom work.  The seminary offers the following degrees: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Theological Studies (shortly remained Master of Theological Studies) and the Doctor of Ministry. 

The seminary is known for the following: an equal place for women, weaving together academic and ministry excellence, spirituality, its Mission Immersion Experience and online education.

BTSR is also known by the company she keeps among Baptists: Baptist General Association of Virginia, The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, the Alliance of Baptists (founding parent).
